How to Measure for Clothing
- Neck
- Measure the neck circumference where a standard button type collar might be fastened.
- Chest
- Measure the chest circumference at the fullest point keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- Waist
- Measure the waist circumference at the smallest part of the waist, often at or above the belly button, keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- Hip
- Measure the hip circumference at the fullest part of the seat, keeping the tape horizontal around the body.
- Sleeve Length
- Measure the distance from the prominent bone at centre back neck, across the shoulder, over the bent elbow to the centre of the wrist bone.
- Inseam to Floor
- Measure the distance from the crotch point to the floor.
How to Measure for Gloves
Sizing and the type of measurement used varies between different brands so all of our gloves are converted into similar size ranges. The charts below indicate the appropriate size glove for your hand measurement. Measure around your palm in inches to find your hand size.

Men's and Women's Running Shoes
The two main fit issues to consider when choosing a running shoe are gait pattern and size.
Gait: Your gait is how your foot rolls from initial ground contact to toe-off. Most people strike on the back lateral portion of their heels and then end up pushing off near their big toes. Rolling inward too early or severely is called "overpronation. " Overpronation can throw your alignment out of whack and lead to injury. Rolling outward is called "supination" and can also lead to injury. Brooks offers several types of running shoes for different gait cycles. These range from Neutral (for the biomechanically efficient) to Control (for those who need the most aggressive pronation control).
Size: We generally recommend that you order your Brooks running shoes 1/2 size to one size larger than normal dress shoes. For men's footwear, "D" is the default width when no width is otherwise specified. For women's footwear, "B" is the default width. You can tell that you have the right size when there's about a thumb's width distance between the tip of your big toe and the top of the shoe. This allows extra room for any swelling that might occur on longer runs. Also, make sure that your foot is not spilling over the footbed on either side. If it is, consider a wider width.

The tables below give the measurements for your size and width. These measurements are in mm. Take your width and length measurements and find the corresponding size.
For example, if you're a size 6 and the width of your foot is less than 86mm you need a narrow B fitting. If it is more than 98mm you need a 2E wider width fitting.

Body measurements are given in centimetres. If your body measurement is on the borderline between two sizes, order the lower size for a tighter fit or the higher size for a looser fit.
If your body measurements for bust and height result in two different suggested sizes, order the size from your bust measurement.

Foot shapes and sizes vary greatly. FiveFingers do provide some fit adjustment, but may not fit every foot type. To achieve the best fitting results we recommend you follow the sizing chart and instruction below:
Please note: Foot Length is measured in inches, not shoe size.
If your foot length varies more than 1/6in. it will be difficult to get a precise fit for both feet.
If your second toe is more than 1/6 in. longer than your big toe it may be difficult to get a precise fit.
