Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Runners Need website. By visiting the Runners Need website, you accept, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time and it is your responsibility to check them before ordering. This does not affect your statutory rights. 

 

When a contract is formed

When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order. This email will only be an acknowledgement of receipt and will not constitute acceptance of your order. Runners Need retains the right to accept or reject this offer before processing the order. A contract between us for the purchase of the goods will not be formed until your payment has been approved by us, the prices have been verified, and the order has been processed and dispatched or marked as ready for collection

Exceptions apply to special orders for goods made on your behalf which cannot be cancelled by you once you have received the email confirmation that your order has been received; as such items and goods may already be in production or transit as a result of your order. For full details of your cancellation rights please see under the heading when is it possible to change or cancel an order.

 

When we take payment from your credit or debit card

Home Delivery

We take payment for Home Delivery Orders when your order is dispatched.

 

Click and Collect Order

We take payment for Click and Collect Orders when your order is marked as ready for collection.

 

When we take payment from your PayPal account

Home Delivery and Click and Collect

If you choose to pay with your PayPal account PayPal will take payment when you place your order.  

 

When ownership passes to our customers

All items supplied to the customer remain the property of Runners Need Ltd until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.

 

When is it possible to change or cancel an order

After you have placed your order you can cancel or amend your order up until the day of dispatch by contacting our customer service team. After we have dispatched your order you can return any item up to 30 days after receipt. This excludes any perishable goods, unsealed software or items that have been personalised or made to your specification.

 

You must take reasonable care of the items and retain all original packaging. Items may be returned to any of our UK stores or direct to our online returns team. All goods are returned at your own expense unless the item is deemed faulty or incorrect, where we will refund the cost on receipt of the goods. Should you require your unwanted goods to be collected, we will deduct our courier’s direct costs from the refund you are due.

PRICING

The prices on this site include VAT at the current rate and are accurate at the beginning of each day. Occasionally the price of an item may be incorrectly quoted on the site or changed during the day. If this happens, we will contact you to advise you of the correct price and offer you the option to cancel that item from your order if you no longer wish to continue with the purchase.

 

VAT rates are subject to change.

 

AVAILABILITY

The website may occasionally contain typographical errors, image errors or stock inaccuracies and may not be complete or current. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. We therefore reserve the right to refuse to fulfil any orders that you may place based on information on the website that may contain errors or inaccuracies.

 

Price Match 

At Runners Need we are committed to delivering a fantastic selection of products at the most competitive prices. We constantly monitor our key competitors to make sure we are not beaten on price. Our Price Match gives you the added security that should you find a product at a lower price anywhere within the EU, either in store or online, we will match it for you. This offer even applies up to 7 days after purchase.

 

TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR PRICE MATCH POLICY:

In store - Simply take evidence of the lower price into the store with you and show it to one of the team in store. This can be, for example, a copy of an ad or a reference to a current web page that the team can use to verify the price based on the Terms & Conditions below. The more information you can provide the quicker and easier it will be for us to verify your price challenge to give you the best price possible.

The conditions of our Price Match Policy are as follows:

  • The product in question must be identical in style, year, specification, size and colour.
  • The competitor store or website must have the product in stock and available for immediate purchase or delivery.
  • The Price Match can be claimed against any competitor based in the UK Mainland or the EU Countries, in store or online. However, they must be an authorised retailer, i.e. not a sole trader or auction site.
  • Where we match an internet price we will take the competitor’s shipping cost into account to work out the total price.
  • Where we are comparing a price in a different currency to that used on our website we will convert this to GBP (£) at the exchange rate in effect at the time of purchase
  • We will match only against the advertised price offered by the competitor, i.e. this does not include additional promotional activities such as loyalty card points, cashback schemes, voucher codes or verbal discounts.
  • We will match within 7 days of receipt of purchase.
  • All Price Match transactions are carried out at the discretion of Runners Need
  • We reserve the right to withdraw the Price Match at any time.

NB. Our Price Match Policy excludes our purchases from our Gatwick Airport store and other duty free outlets.

 

Gift Cards

 

PURCHASING GIFT CARDS

Runners Need Gift cards can be purchased to any value between £5 and £1,000 and can be redeemed in multiple purchases until the balance is used.

 

Gift Cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your legal rights. They should be treated as cash, as we are unable to replace a gift card if lost or stolen. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a Gift Card which it deems to have been tampered with, duplicated, damaged or which otherwise is suspected to be affected from fraud.

 

Runners need reserves the right to change the terms and conditions governing the use of gift vouchers and gift cards from time to time without notice and to take appropriate action if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary. Changes will be published in runners need stores and online at www.runnersneed.com.

EXPIRY DATE

All our gift cards expire 12 months from the date of issue or 12 months from the last transacation.

 

Gift Cards presented after their expiry date will be treated as void and are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

 

CHECKING THE BALANCE ON A GIFT CARD

To check the balance remaining on your gift card ask in store or contact our customer service team.

 

Using a gift card to make a purchase

 

ONLINE 

Redeem our gift cards online by inserting the 16 digit number on the back of the card at the checkout.

 

To redeem an old style gift card, call our customer service team who will place the order for you

 

IN STORE

Runners Need gift cards are redeemable in all UK Runners Need stores excluding excluding Harrods and Selfridges.

 

Our Dublin Store offers and accepts gift cards in Euro’s. However, they are unable to sell or redeem gift cards in GB sterling.

 

Discounts and Promotional Codes

When placing your order using a discount or promotional code, please be aware that the following exclusions apply: events supplied by Outdoor and Cycle Concepts Ltd., gift cards and vouchers, postage, previously discounted items, sale items and special order items. In addition, promotional codes and discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.

 

Where we deliver your order to a country outside the European Union we will automatically adjust your order so that you are charged the correct VAT free amount when we dispatch the goods.

 

Please ensure that you enter the correct destination from the country drop down field when entering your address at the point of checkout. 

 

For deliveries to the Channel Islands please ensure that you enter the Channel Islands as your country otherwise you will be charged VAT.

 

BFPO purchases 

If you are a BFPO customer select 'BFPO' from the country drop down field when entering your address at the checkout. Failure to do this can result in your parcel being misrouted and may cause long delays.

 

For BFPO destinations that are exempt from VAT the price will be adjusted once your order has been placed. It is essential that you select 'BFPO' from the country drop down field to qualify for this automatic exemption as we cannot apply retrospective refunds for VAT once your order has been dispatched. Your order confrimation email will state the full retail value including VAT. We will send you a separate invoice showing the correct amount, excluding VAT.

 

All BFPO deliveries will be delivered into Northolt via Parcel Force where they will then be distributed to the correct locations. Please be aware that once your parcel is handed over to BFPO we cannot track the parcel and will have no control over its delivery.

You may need to split your order into multiple consignments where the above criteria are exceeded. If this is not possible, we will contact you directly.

Delivery time: Please allow up to 6 weeks for the delivery of your parcel.

 

Friends and Family: Unfortunately, we are charged commercial rates for all BFPO deliveries. Due to this we add a £6 delivery charge to all BFPO orders. If you wish to take advantage of the BFPO free delivery scheme for relatives and friends, you will need to take your parcel to the Post Office.

Local taxes and import duties

All orders shipped to EU countries already have the relevant VAT included so there are no additional customs duties to pay on orders shipped within the European Union. 

 

Local duty and taxes may be charged on international deliveries delivered outside the European Union. These fees are not included in the cost of shipping and we recommend that you contact your local customs office for an estimate.

 

Please don’t ask our staff to mark any orders as gifts or to adjust the value of your order on the importation document in any way to avoid paying import duty. It is a criminal offence to falsify the shipping documents and our staff have been instructed to decline all these requests.

 

We do not issue any refunds for customs fees, shipping or the cost of your order should you refuse to pay the customs fees.

 

Damaged or missing deliveries

If your order hasn't arrived within a reasonable timeframe, or arrives incomplete, then please contact us so we may investigate on your behalf.

 

Should your parcel show signs of damage on receipt from the courier, please make a note of this on the courier’s documents and if possible take photographs of the damaged areas. This will assist in any claims which may occur at a later date.

 

Returning an item for a refund

We want you to be entirely satisfied with every purchase made from us and strive to offer you excellent quality, value and service at all times. If you wish to return an item for exchange or you have decided not to keep it, please complete the details on the reverse side of your delivery note and send it back to us or bring it in to one of our UK stores together with the products original packaging and labelling within 30 days. We will exchange or refund the cost of the item(s) where appropriate. All goods must be in a new and unused condition together with a copy of your original receipt.

 

If you wish to return any item due to a fault, please complete the details on the reverse side of your delivery note giving details of the fault and send it back to us together with the item in its original packaging, where possible, within 30 days. We will exchange the item or refund the full cost including any delivery charges incurred where appropriate. If you are in any doubt, please contact our customer service department. We recommend that all items returned to us be sent recorded delivery with insurance paid as a minimum. You can also return items to us via our Collect + service.

 

Returning Items using Collect+ Service

You can also return packages to us using the Collect+ service for a fixed price of £4.49**

  • This service can be used for UK returns for items up to 10kgs and a package size of 60x50x50cms (cabin bag size), for a fixed price of £4.49. Payment can be made by credit/debit cards and PayPal.
  • Please visit www.collectplus.co.uk/runnersneed to book and print a returns label and find your local Collect+ store.
  • Once you have printed the label please check the bar code is clear and then fix securely to the external packaging.
  • Please ensure our returns form is completed and inside the parcel and that you keep a copy of the proof of postage as the goods remain your responsibility until we receive your package.
  • You will receive a proof of postage receipt with tracking details when you deposit your package with the store. Collect+ locations are generally open early until late 7 days a week.
  • Returns generally take 3-5 working days to reach us and a further 3 working days for us to process (during busy periods this may take up to 5-7 working days).

Black Friday

 

Black Friday discounts are normally shown against the products original price. If the product is part of our extended range, the discount will be shown against the RRP. Extended Range offers are not available in store, but can be ordered in store for home delivery. If you would like further details about specific details, please contact us for further assistance.
