Arc'teryx uses a naming system to tell you about the product's intended use :
- SL (Superlight): The absolute lightest materials possible, designed for packability and speed where every gram counts.

Phasic™ is a proprietary base layer fabric engineered by Arc'teryx for optimal moisture management. It has a bi-component structure with different yarns on the inside and outside, which actively pulls moisture away from your skin and disperses it on the surface to evaporate quickly. This keeps you drier and more comfortable during high-output runs. The Phasic™ LT version is the lightest, making it ideal for running.
Coreloft™ is Arc'teryx's proprietary synthetic insulation, known for being lightweight, breathable, and highly efficient at trapping air to provide warmth. Crucially for runners, it retains its warmth even when it gets damp from sweat or precipitation. It's used in jackets like the Atom LT, providing essential warmth for cold-weather runs without the bulk of traditional fleece.
Arc'teryx has a close partnership with GORE-TEX to create its waterproof shells. For running, they often use GORE-TEX with GORE C-KNIT™ backer technology, which is a lighter, softer, and more breathable version of their classic waterproof membrane. This allows sweat vapor to escape easily while providing complete protection from wind and rain, keeping you dry from the inside and the out.
A RECCO® reflector is a small, passive transponder that is permanently integrated into many Arc'teryx jackets and pants. It requires no power or activation. In the event of an avalanche or other emergency, it makes you searchable to rescue professionals equipped with RECCO® detectors. It's a simple, lightweight safety feature that adds an extra layer of security for mountain athletes.
