The Wildlife Trusts

If we don’t act now, our natural world faces a state of emergency. Wildlife is disappearing at an alarming rate, but there’s still time to turn things around. That’s why this Black Friday, we’ll be donating 1% of sales to The Wildlife Trusts to help support their work to create a better, wilder future.

Whether we’re running in urban environments or out on the trails, at Runners Need, we know how important running outdoors is to our mental health. But, with almost half of UK wildlife in decline and some of our most-loved species at risk of extinction, our favourite running landscapes are at risk. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting The Wildlife Trusts' mission to prioritise nature’s recovery.

A movement of independent charities from across the UK, The Wildlife Trusts want to create a world where land and seas are rich in wildlife and where people have the opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature in their everyday lives.

Their ambitious 30 by 30 project sets out to connect and protect 30% of our UK land and seas by 2030, with an aim to create a thriving natural landscape that has the power to lock up carbon dioxide, provide clean air and water, help protect us from flooding and extreme weather, provide food and be somewhere we can all enjoy.

“The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 by 30 campaign is the most audacious and courageous project I’ve seen in a very long time.”

Stephen Fry
