King's Cross Store
King's Cross is one of our top stores featuring Gait Analysis and trained staff who are keen runners. We have a complete range of products. So that we can provide the high level of service that we pride ourselves on, a shoe fitting (including gait analysis assessment) will usually take between 15 and 30 minutes. So please leave yourself plenty of time for your fitting, especially at the end of the day. So why not pay us a visit? We'd love to meet you - whether you're a seasoned marathon runner or a complete beginner
Meet the Team
Pete - Head of Sales
- How long have you worked at Runners Need?
- Since September 2012
- Tell us about yourself:
- My passion is running and this is my tenth year of running. I train with Hillingdon AC and hope to race in cross country and road races over the next season. I also enjoy cycling on the road and off and have enjoyed cycling into work a few times. I am also a supporter of Queens Park Rangers and have been since 1981 and also follow Wigan Warriors Rugby league and have travelled many times to the North West to watch them.
- What are your favourite shoes to run in and why?
- My best road shoes are either Brooks or Mizuno depending on distance, as they are nice and light and give me a good level of support and cushioning. My top Brand is Salomon which I use mainly for my trail running and various models from very light with lots of grip to more cushioned ones for longer trail runs.
- How often do you go running?
- I try for twice a day if I can, but its normally every day.
- Have you taken part in any marathons, challenges or races?
- I have done the Virgin London Marathon this year, also raced the first running of Trail Marathon Wales in June coming 15th. I love my trail running and most races and training is done off road completing 11 Marathons with 7 of them trail ones. The South Downs Marathon in 2011 was my best race coming 6th overall.
- Are you taking part in any events this year?
- I am planning to do my first Ultra next year, doing the Thames Trot 50 and may try my hand at a Triathlon. Doing my first off road duathlon in October.
- What's your favourite music to run to?
- Foo Fighters
- Do you have any relevant certificates or qualifications?
- Have been fully trained in gait analysis at Roehampton University.
