On Running was founded in 2010 in the Swiss Alps. The founders had one goal: to revolutionise the sensation of running. They aimed to do this by creating a running shoe that was different to anything currently on the market, which would allow the wearer to experience soft landings followed by explosive take-offs. They refer to this sensation as running on clouds.
Since then, On has been used by over 3 million runners in over 50 countries, and is popular with road, trail, and professional athletes alike. From the Cloud to the new Cloudstratus, there is an On shoe for every runner.
Footwear
On have a wide range of running shoes that are available from Runners Need. From road to trail to race, there is something for every type of running.
On the road, On have various different models that can be used. All On shoes have the Cloud technology that gives the shoes their signature look. These Clouds allow the shoe to grip the floor, providing cushioning whilst still being responsive off the floor. The Speedboard™ allows the wearer to transform energy generated when landing into forward motion, giving a smooth ride. Road shoes by On include:

On also cater for trail runners, with the Cloudventure and Cloudventure Peak. The Cloudventure is a lightweight trail shoe with enhanced cushioning and grip. The Cloudventure Peak is a trail racing shoe that is lightweight.
On Cloudstratus
The Cloudstratus is a performance shoe with maximum cushioning. Two layers of Helion™ enriched CloudTec® give both vertical and horizontal cushioning. The Clouds distribute pressure as the foot lands, then supports a powerful push off. The soft and strong mesh allows the shoe to support the natural motion of the foot, when your foot flexes, so does the shoe. This shoe is perfect for those who require a little more cushioning, but still favour a lightweight and responsive ride. Best for on the road, with stability built in.
