Location: Cardiff

Conquer Cardiff city by taking part in either a 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon race through the picturesque Bute Park. You’ll cover 130 acres of landscaped gardens surrounding Cardiff Castle, offering stunning scenery and flat paths; ideal for a range of abilities.

Location: Frome

Join the buzzing atmosphere at the Frome Running Festival in the heart of the town centre. This community event starts and finishes on the wide-open Old Showfield green space, with the closed road route winding through Frome town. 

 

The Half Marathon course is a single loop that ventures out into the idyllic Somerset countryside, passing the iconic Nunney Castle along the way. The 10k and 5k distances are contained within Frome's charming market town centre and narrow streets. Soak in the festive ambiance as you conquer the roads and countryside.

Date: Thursday 8th August

Location: Kemble

Test your limits on England's most extensive river path with this demanding 184-mile, 4-day stage running adventure from the Thames Head to the Thames Barrier. The ultimate bucket list feat for experienced endurance athletes. 

 

Beginning at the iconic river's source in the Cotswolds, runners will traverse the entirety of the historic Thames Path's unforgettable 184 miles all the way to its mouth at the Thames Barrier in Greenwich. Conquer all 4 stages to earn 4 medals that piece together into a commemorative jigsaw. 

 

The entry fee includes accommodation, meals, snacks, and full support over the multi-day journey, allowing athletes to conquer each stage. 


Date: Sunday 14th July

Location: Sedbury

Experience an iconic route like no other at this one-of-a-kind running event featuring the historic Greenway and 1.1k Tidenham Tunnel. With marathon, half marathon, and 10K distance options, runners of all paces can earn a finisher's medal on this adventurous course. 

 

The marathon and half marathon routes guide participants along a varied landscape of quiet country lanes, forest trails, abandoned railway paths, and the highlight - running through the old Tidenham railway tunnel itself. 

 

The 10K course is an out-and-back journey that kicks off with a beautiful "Floral Mile" lined with wildflowers before entering the tunnel for a 3K underground stretch.

Location: Horton

The Cotswolds Challenge, part of the TEC series, offers a range of distances from 12k to ultra marathon, promising breathtaking views and exhilarating trails. Hosted at Oakfield Farm near Chipping Sodbury, participants can expect a friendly atmosphere, finisher medals, and scenic routes along the Cotswolds Way and Monarchs Way.

Date: Saturday 18th May

Location: Surrey

The Maverick Adidas Terrex X-Series North Downs event on May 18, 2024, presents a trail running experience through Surrey and the North Downs Way, offering routes of 11km, 22km, 43km, or 52km.  

 

Participants traverse undulating forest trails, passing through Winterfold and Hurtwood Forest, with opportunities to admire scenic views from Pitch Hill. Longer routes include challenges like Leith Hill and Ranmore Common, intersecting with the renowned North Downs Way. Expect a blend of stunning landscapes, wildlife encounters, and exhilarating trails; suitable for runners of all levels.

Date: 8th & 9th June

Location: Leicestershire

The Summer Wolf Run unfolds at the remarkable Stanford Hall estate in Leicestershire, offering an off-road obstacle course amid picturesque landscapes. You’ll navigate dense woodlands, intricate trails, passing lakes and streams complemented by impressive man-made structures.  

 

The event boasts a vibrant atmosphere with a bustling event village, perfect for enjoying with friends and family. The renowned Mud Sucker obstacle adds excitement, drawing out camaraderie among participants as they tackle the challenges together.

Location: Piccadilly, London

Take on an incredible closed-road course that winds past some of the city's most iconic landmarks, from Big Ben and the London Eye to other famous sights. Location: Birmingham

Explore Birmingham's hidden canal network with either the 26-mile or 18-mile courses, starting and ending at Moseley Rugby Club. The main route encompasses iconic landmarks like Cole Valley Way, Grand Union Canal, Fazeley Canal, and Birmingham Worcester Canal, passing by notable sites such as Sarehole Mill and Gas Street Basin.  

 

The 18-mile route shares similar highlights, offering a scenic journey along the city's canals with minimal road crossings and gentle terrain. Birmingham's extensive canal network played a pivotal role in the industrial revolution, now offering tranquil paths through urban and rural landscapes teeming with wildlife.
